Why I Started Making Handmade Soaps
It all began with a simple question from my husband: “What should I use on my skin?” Both he and our son have sensitive skin, and even though they don’t suffer from eczema or any diagnosed skin conditions, commercial soaps like Dove still left their skin dry and itchy.
That moment sparked something in me. I started researching natural oils, experimenting with different combinations, and paying close attention to how each ingredient interacted with their skin. I dove into learning everything I could about gentle, nourishing alternatives, and that curiosity turned into a calling.

After weeks of reading, testing, and tweaking, I finally created a formula that worked. A soap that didn’t just cleanse, but actually nurtured the skin. And once I saw the difference it made for my family, I knew I had to share it.
Now, I create handmade, all-natural soaps and body care products for others who want safer, skin-loving alternatives. Every bar is made with care, intention, and love, right from my hands to yours.
Where the Name Came From
“San’s Soaps” is extra special to me because the name, and the logo, came from my youngest daughter, Janeen. She created it as a way to support my vision, and I’m so proud of her for helping bring this dream to life.
